Greetings Members,

I wish to announce that the Tauranga RSA Executive Committee and the Tauranga Citz Club Executive Committee have agreed that the Tauranga RSA members may use the Citz Club facility, namely the sports bar, to conduct a Tauranga RSA Members night on Friday nights commencing on Friday 7th August 2026.

During these evenings we are able to conduct raffles and recite the Ode at 6.00pm. The reciting of the Ode will only impact the Sports Bar area and will be projected onto a screen in this room.

The Citz Club Executive has asked that all Tauranga RSA members are required to be financial members of the Citz Club as well, and the joining fee is $45.00 per person.

The Tauranga RSA welcomes this progressive move to allow our members the use of the Club Rooms, membership draws and all its facilities such as gaming, pool room, dining, darts etc. We encourage all our members to join the Citz Club and attend the Friday club night.

Now that this has been adopted, the BYO Friday nights at 250 Chadwick Road will discontinue. The last night will be on Friday the 31st July 2026.

The subject of the RSA membership fees will be discussed in full at the AGM in October.

Chase from Tauranga Boys College came in and spoke to us about his water polo trip. Chase has been selected to represent New Zealand at the 2026 U16 Water Polo World Championships in Zagreb, Croatia, to be held 3 to 9 August. Prior to the tournament, the New Zealand team will attend a six-day training camp at Montenegro.

We wish him luck and look forward to following his games. We gave him some funding towards his tournament.
